Leytonstone Loves Film 29th September

Sunday 29th September Midday

Ugwumpiti - Film Showing, Q+A and Street Food

Stories & Supper are bringing refugee stories – on film and in person – to Leytonstone Loves Film this Autumn. We'll be screening Eithne Nightingale's short film Ugwumpiti, an account of Maurice Nwokeji's childhood experience of the Biafran war and life in the UK as a young refugee. The film will be followed by a Q+A exploring the experiences of child refugees.

We'll also bring you migration stories from Ghana, Sierra Leone, Iraq and beyond.

Plus, you can fill your belly as well as your mind, with some of our amazing global street food.
