Share Your Recipes!

In this week's Saturday workshop, Mary shared her Apesie recipe with us and showed us how to pound Fufu. Our recipe and stories book is really taking shape - we're aiming for 40 to 50 recipes, all with a story and many stories and ingredients will be interlinked - as are all our migration lives!

How you can help...

Recipes - share your recipes with us! And if you're near Walthamstow, come share and help others share on our Saturday and Wednesday workshops. Email Julie if you can come -

Pre-Purchase - you can pre-buy a copy of the book from next week - please let us know if you can do this! If we have 100 pre-sales we can definitely send the book to print - and the more certain we are of pre-sales, the more tiime we can spend making the book wonderful!

Please let us know if you're happy to pre-buy a copy of the recipe book by emailing rebecca and we'll make sure you have the link the minute it is ready. Thank you!

Social Media Champion - if you have any kind of presence on social media we'd love you to help us: both to find the feedback of Stories and Supper events, and also to share what we're doing. The more the merrier!

Other opportunities to be involved

The stories we are hearing right now across the globe defy all the adjectives. There are so many ways we can fight injustice, but I wonder if you have thought of your strong finance and strategic skills being a tool to fight injustice? Well - they ARE! We are looking for a treasurer and strategic fundraising support, to enable those of us who are great at the engaging project work we do to get on with that! We are also looking to involve others in our steering team and one other as a Director - if you have experience of forced migration we would especially welcome your interest. These roles are voluntary, but won't exclude you from being part of paid opportunities that we may have. These roles will appear on our volunteer page soon, which has many other opportunties too...
